Reassigning a Technician to an Empty Truck

This article details the process of reassigning a technician from a truck that is being retired or taken out of service to a new, currently empty truck.
The process involves the following steps
  1. Create the new Truck in ServiceTitan
  2. Assign the technician to the newly created truck
  3. Create and complete an Inventory Transfer to move all existing stock in the truck being retired to the new truck
  4. Once the transfer is complete, add the appropriate Inventory Template to the new truck
  5. Check for outstanding (unreceived) POs against original truck and update them to new truck
  6. Remove the Inventory Template and deactivate the truck being retired
Before beginning, you should verify that the truck to which you are transferring the stock and switching the technician is indeed empty. It also should have no template assigned to it.

DO NOT add the Inventory Template to the new truck before transferring the existing items. Since there is no current stock on the truck, doing so will add ALL of the items on the template to the replenishment list.
