The past backlog is a list of jobs that have appointments in the past, have no appointments scheduled for the future, and are in a Scheduled, Hold, or In Progress status. It is essentially the detail for everything that is counted in the "Past Backlog" tab of the Flash Report. These jobs can not be included in revenue because they have not been marked as complete but they also appear to occur in the past. In some cases, this is expected--if we are waiting to schedule an appointment until a part comes in for example. However, in other cases it can indicate that improper workflow is being followed. Each of these records should be reviewed and corrective action should be taken if there is workflow deviation.
